London Marathon 2016, First Tri in Lydney & Brockhampton Beast

Three Newent Runners travelled to the capital this weekend to take part in the London Marathon.

Thankfully the weather forecast of snow didn’t materialise and conditions were ideal for the distance.

Pete Jones finished in 3.58.38 followed by Meg Veale (who ran for the Neuro Foundation and with her sister Alice) in 4.19.32 and the club chair Jonathan Miles in 4.34.38.

Closer to home, Helen Kelly completed the hilly First Tri in Lydney in 1.49.26.

Simon Barker ran the Brockhampton Beast, a new 9km trail race at the National Trust’s Brockhampton Estate near Bromyard, organised by DirtRun, with the result to be confirmed.
