Phil Rowe finished 6th in the off road ‘Kings Stanley Sizzler Handicap 10K Race’ on 16 July, in 49.45.
Susan Pritt took part in the Very Long Bath Half on 24 July; this 26km race is part of the Bath Running Festival. She finished 5th in her category 50-59 in 3.28.28, knocking an impressive 26 minutes off last years’ time.
Frances Evans completed her second ultra event, ‘The Cotswold 24 Hour Race’ at Cirencester Park, on the same weekend. She came 15th in her category, completing 99K (61.5 miles) in 19.48.24. Both 0-5K Graduates enjoy running longer distances and Frances is looking forward to her next event, the Atlantic Coast Challenge on 7 October.
Seventeen club members competed in this weeks ‘Blaisdon 10K’ organised by FODAC on 26 July, with many gaining PB’s. Andrew Lloyd was first male home in 47.28 with Micaela Swan first lady in 51.20 (PB). Emma Poole competed in the Wye Valley 10K on 27 July finishing 1st in her V50 category with a PB of 49.39.
