Training and social runs

Please note that Wednesday is the only coached session. All other events are informal social runs (often led by a qualified leader, but not always) and, as such, you participate at your own risk.

MONDAY “SHUFFLERS”:

Led by Chris Barber. All welcome. Meet at Newent Comprehensive School 6.30. Variety of routes to suit all abilities – please click here for a list of the routes, this week’s route number will be posted on the Facebook group.  Hi viz and head torch required in winter months.

TUESDAY TROTTERS:

Meet at the Newent Library car park by the Doctors Surgery entrance for 6.30pm start-keep your eye on the Facebook page for last minute changes. Hi viz and head torch required in winter months.

WEDNESDAY COACHED SESSION

Leaders: Varies each week

Meet on the astroturf at Newent Community School during the winter months (October – March) and on the school fields during the summer months.  Winter start time is 6.10 for 6.20, summer start time 6.20 for 6.30.

This week’s session will be on the astroturf, meet at 6.10 for a 6.20 start.

We will be meeting for a social drink after training in the sports bar at the Leisure Centre, on the first Weds of every month starting on 6th April 2016.

THIRSTY THURSDAYS:

Meet for 6.30pm start at Newent Doctors Surgery entrance by the Library car park, ending with a pint or two at Cobblers. Hi viz and head torch required in winter months.

SATURDAYS:

Park-run-2
Newent Parkrun, a weekly, free, timed, 5k run – meet at 8.45 for 9.00am start at Newent Community School/Leisure Centre.  Please see http://www.parkrun.org.uk/newent/ for details.

SUNDAY ‘SOCIAL’:

There are often two options for Sunday Socials – road runs with Clive or trail runs with Chris.  Meet at the lake car park 8.30am, or earlier if running elsewhere, for an 8.30 start time at the venue. All welcome. Distances to suit. Keep an eye on the latest news section and the Facebook group for each weeks schedule.
